Tips
- Dry skin, cold weather or low humidity - Wash face only once a day (night only) with gentle cleanser. Morning, reapply serums & moisturizers. Reapply more moisturizer if skin absorbs quickly or throughout day.
- Hydrating Aloe Vera Revitalizing Spray™ - This powerful antioxidant is hydrating & refreshing. It adds extra hydration for dry or aging skin especially when used with hyaluronic acid (Youth Serum™). Spray between each serum & product. Reapply throughout day for additional hydration.
- Serums - Always apply SERUMS FIRST for best absorption before any moisturizers. Serums are absorbed and work more “intra-cellular” (inside the cells). Moisturizers work more “extra-cellular” (outside the cells).
- Misbelief - “Don’t need a face moisturizer because skin already has enough oils and moisturizer would cause more breakouts.” Actually, skin that is NOT moisturized will likely produce more sebum (oils) & contribute to breakouts. It’s important for all skin types to use a good moisturizer that is non-pore blocking & free of harmful ingredients.
- Make-up / Sunscreen Alternative - A lighter alternative to foundation & sunscreen is to use a “tinted moisturizer” with natural SPF qualities. These are less likely to cause acne breakouts & typically have an equivalent 25-30 SPF which is good for daily wear. Always apply moisturizer first BEFORE the tinted moisturizer to help hydrate & protect skin.
- Foundation - Avoid any make-up foundation that states “long-lasting” or “24-hour wear”. They contain ingredients that act similar to glue & are hard to wash off which contribute to blocked & enlarged pores & acne breakouts.
